In the Spotlight: Enzo | “At CRANIUM, I get freedom to create my own path.”

Driven. Supportive. Passionate.

That’s how Enzo Marquet describes himself and his work at CRANIUM. What started as a traditional consultancy role grew into a tailored track with a focus on teaching, content expertise, and personal growth. In this interview, Enzo shares how he found his place within the organisation, why he returned after an academic detour, and what makes CRANIUM truly unique for him.

What was your starting point at CRANIUM, and how has your role evolved?

I started as a consultant, with a short stint in sales. But I quickly realised that I don’t get energised from doing sales. Together with my manager, we looked at where my strengths and interests lay, and that’s how I grew into a role as internal expert and trainer, with a clear focus on knowledge sharing. Unpacking simple and complex issues, seeing colleagues grow—that’s what gives me energy.

What motivated you to pursue the expert track?

Privacy isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion. Both professionally and personally, I’m fascinated by it. New technological and business challenges, evolving legislation—it all triggers me. And when I learn something new, I want to immediately translate it into practical knowledge for others. That’s what brings me satisfaction: helping people and clients truly learn something.

How is that trajectory supported at CRANIUM?

There’s room to try, to propose your own initiatives, and to make mistakes. Of course, I’ve made mistakes too. No one likes making them, but I wasn’t punished for it. On the contrary, they were seen as opportunities to grow. That encourages initiative and builds trust.

There’s also no imposed career template. CRANIUM draws the broad strokes but based on those and in dialogue with your manager, you can chart your own course. You get the freedom to use your training budget, your ideas, and your initiatives to discover what energises you and grow further.

What makes CRANIUM unique to you as an employer?

The openness. The culture. You’re not boxed into a job description. They look at you as a person: what are you good at, where do you want to go? And that can deviate from the traditional path. You’re given the space to shape your own journey. The transparency also stands out—you feel connected to the bigger picture, even if KPIs or business jargon aren’t your thing. I feel like I work for a stable company, and that’s very reassuring.

You were away for a while. What brought you back to CRANIUM?

I was planning to pursue a PhD to teach, but realised the academic world didn’t quite suit me. Too fragmented, not enough dynamism. Eventually, I missed CRANIUM: the culture, the people, the opportunities. When I got back in touch, they immediately thought along with me: how can we create space for your ambitions in training and knowledge sharing? Those first conversations felt familiar—and that’s how I returned.

What are you looking forward to in your further growth?

I want to deepen my expertise and learn from colleagues I look up to. Build even more in-depth knowledge and translate it into concrete solutions for clients and internally. Teaching, giving workshops, really imparting knowledge—that’s where I want to keep growing.

Lately, I’ve also been more active on LinkedIn, trying to expand my network, share knowledge, and step outside my comfort zone. That’s supported and encouraged at CRANIUM too.

What advice would you give to someone with experience considering a role at CRANIUM?

Come talk. You won’t be boxed in here. We don’t just check if you match a job description—we look at how your experience can add value to our story, and vice versa. There’s room for initiative, ideas, and impact. And if you already carry a backpack of experience, that’s worth gold.
