Bastien de Marchi

After finishing his Master’s degree in Public and International Law, Bastien De Marchi quickly turned his attention to the practical challenges of data protection. He began his career as a shared DPO (Data Protection Officer) for several Public Social Welfare Centers (CPAS) and municipalities, gaining solid on-the-ground experience and a deep understanding of the specific realities of local public services.

Curious and committed, he went on to work as a consultant in the broader public sector, while also exploring more atypical environments such as professionnal training in France and the automotive industry. During this time, he also delivered certification trainings and conducted information security audits.

Now a Senior Privacy Consultant at Cranium, Bastien leverages his dual expertise in privacy and security (certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor) to support cross-functional projects with pragmatism and precision. What does he enjoy most? Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, understanding their concrete challenges, and offering tailored solutions that fit their operational reality.

Outside of work, Bastien has a strong appreciation for sports and nature, and has recently developed a passion for padel.
