How does our Legal Consulting work?
A digital law expert will take up the assignment from A to Z. Every assignment is different, but in general, we always apply the following way of working:
01 - Determining the Scope
We define the scope of the assignment and (pro)actively identify the areas of digital law you require support in.
02 - Kick-off Meeting
We agree on practicalities such as deadline(s), stakeholders and, if applicable, periodic reporting.
03 - Execution
We perform the assignment and deliver the required outcome (deliverables, legal advice etc).
04 - Closure
At the end of the assignment, we establish a final meeting to issue closing remarks/recommendations and final clarifications (if required).
Domains where we offer support.
- Contract Law: Our expertise varies from transfer of intellectual property rights, to data sharing agreements and all contractual aspects of IP, data, e-commerce etc. We can assist in negotiations, drafting of agreements and reviewing of existing agreements to ensure that you comply with emerging regulation.
- ICT Law: We offer hands-on legal advice, concerning matters such as computing, cloud (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS), coding, the internet, B2B/B2C, e-commerce and intermediary liability.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Law: CRANIUM assists in protecting your IP in a digital environment. Ranging from copyright and database protection, to expert legal advice on the intellectual property aspects of online content, including where AI is used.
- AI Law: We assist in compliance with the AI Act by verifying which obligations apply to you and by advising on or implementing the relevant requirements (e.g. risk management processes and documentation).
- Data Laws (such as GDPR, Digital Services, Data Act, Data Governance Act,…): We assess whether and to what degree your organisation needs to comply with these new regulations, and what actions need to be taken to ensure compliance.
