What is CRANIUM's
Legal as a Service?

Technology, digitalisation and their legislation move fast. Our Legal as a Service ensures that you stay on top of your digital projects with the trustworthy support of an external legal counsel.

Whether you’re in need of one SPOC for legal questions, or you’d like to add a digital law specialist to your legal team, we can guide your organisation through its digital ambitions, adapted to your specific needs.

Legal as a Service serves as a one-stop-shop for Contract law, ICT law, Intellectual Property (“IP”) law, AI law and data laws (including the GDPR, Data act, Data governance act and the European open data spaces initiatives).

Benefits of external counsel.

Digital Law by Design

Proactively spot risks and opportunities with an objective, outside perspective.

Cost-efficient

No need to hire or manage internal resources and competencies. Hire a consultant when you need them.

Catalyst for Change

Our external perspective can bring a fresh outlook and move things forward.

How does Legal as a Service work?

A legal counsel will support your organisation in digital law matters. The solution is tailored to your organisation, but in general, we always apply the following way of working:

01 - Defining the Scope

Together, we define the scope of the required support by determining your digital goal(s), current risks and priorities. This enables us to proactively identify the areas where you might need support and to define a high-level roadmap/plan.

The outcome of the Legal as a Service Solution.

The deliverables for a Legal as a Service project vary depending on the scope of the project. Generally, they’ll include:

  1. Drafting of legal documents, procedures and policies or other materials required to comply with the digital laws in scope.
  2. Negotiating contracts.
  3. Legal advice about the digital laws in scope.
