Catalyst for Change

How does Legal as a Service work?
A legal counsel will support your organisation in digital law matters. The solution is tailored to your organisation, but in general, we always apply the following way of working:
01 - Defining the Scope
Together, we define the scope of the required support by determining your digital goal(s), current risks and priorities. This enables us to proactively identify the areas where you might need support and to define a high-level roadmap/plan.
02 - Kick-off meeting
Once we know your organisation and your goals, we agree on practicalities such as deadlines, stakeholders, periodic reporting and we provide more detail to the roadmap/plan.
03 - Execution
We roll out the roadmap/plan and take up ad-hoc questions where required.
04 - Reporting
We provide periodic reporting on progress made.
05 - Closure
At the end of the assignment, we establish a final meeting and issue closing guidelines/support if required.
The outcome of the Legal as a Service Solution.
The deliverables for a Legal as a Service project vary depending on the scope of the project. Generally, they’ll include:
- Drafting of legal documents, procedures and policies or other materials required to comply with the digital laws in scope.
- Negotiating contracts.
- Legal advice about the digital laws in scope.

Frequently Asked Questions.
How does Legal as a Service differ from traditional legal consultancy?
We follow the CRANIUM Way of Working, which offers practical solutions tailored to your specific needs. Our advice is concise and actionable, focusing on real-world application rather than theoretical legal concepts.
Unlike traditional consultancy that often reacts to issues as they arise, we think alongside your team. We anticipate potential legal challenges in your digital initiatives and provide proactive solutions when needed.
Can CRANIUM provide a dedicated legal specialist to work with our existing legal team?
Yes, CRANIUM can provide a dedicated legal professional to work alongside your current team. Our approach is adaptable; we tailor our services to your individual requirements while providing a new, outside perspective. Internally, we put a lot of focus on knowledge sharing. This collaboration ensures that your legal team benefits from our specific knowledge.
Do you also offer one-time consultations?
Yes, we both offer project-based support and long-term support. If you’re in need of specific advice for a project, you can opt for our Digital Law Consulting. More information here.
How do you ensure your advice stays current with rapidly changing digital laws?
Knowledge sharing is at the core of our organisation. Through the years, we’ve built on an extensive knowledge sharing system within our company. We continuously share updates with each other, organise internal knowledge sharing sessions and spend dedicated time doing research.
