Principal Privacy Consultant and DPO Coach
David is a seasoned privacy consultant. He worked almost 20 years in the HR sector with a focus on privacy and data protection of employees. Before joining CRANIUM, he performed privacy implementations for a global company in Spain, France, Poland, Czech Republic…and was a SPOC for the privacy implementation in EMEA. During his HR path (HR has always been part of his career), David gave also trainings to HR professionals about the impact the GDPR had on the processing of personal data of employees and performed various privacy implementations for large and SME company’s. Given his background he still follows HR with a GDPR focus.
David has no specific preference of sector and worked therefore for privacy, public companies, ..focusses on HR, Telecom, Health care, Engery sector as a DPO, and sometimes as a privacy professional.
As a senior mentor David guides new privacy professionals during their first steps as a DPO and works together with young privacy professionals on different projects, guiding them with practical and pragmatic advise.
To conclude: “A good DPO is a trusted advisor, someone who’s business minded, works good on his PR, and makes sure he/she is not perceived as a “show stopper”, but someone who really goes forward with the business/company.”
