Julie Vleugels

Julie Vleugels is an experienced senior consultant in the field of data protection and has specialised in the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With years of experience in the welfare and health sectors and public sectors she has been carrying out a broad range of tasks from drafting policies, auditing, writing business continuity plans to actually implementing and monitoring GDPR requirements. Her expertise also extends to SMEs.

Julie not only has a strong legal and organisational background, but also a solid technical foundation. Her training as a PC technician, storage system technician and network administrator, combined with almost ten years of experience in the IT sector, enables her to understand not only the organisational and legal side of GDPR but also the technical side of it. Additionally, she holds a professional bachelor’s degree in education.

This pedagogical experience allows her to provide training and empathise with her customers but she also regularly trains and supports our juniors in our master programme and in their first steps in the field With her combined experience in data protection, IT support, and education, Julie Vleugels is well-equipped to help organisations comply with their GDPR obligations.
