Sophia Simoens
Privacy Consultant
Sophia is a Privacy Consultant at CRANIUM. She has a legal background, including a Master’s degree from KU Leuven in Intellectual Property and ICT Law. In her final paper she examined solutions for post-mortem data protection in the EU in the context of the Digital Afterlife Industry.
Throughout her university career, Sophia was active as a student representative at both faculty and university level, as well as a year representative. Beyond academics, she has enjoyed Model United Nations, Moot Court competitions, and other hobbies such as music and fashion.
Sophia views data protection not as a fence around a business, but as a foundation that helps it understand itself better, grow steadily, and build lasting transparency.
She is fluent in Dutch, English and Russian, while perfecting her French.
